Many of people started filing into the Toowoomba Showgrounds from 8.00am this morning, lining up at the entry gates for the grand opening of the 2016 Toowoomba Spring Home Show and Caravan and Leisure Expo. Many said they had been looking forward to the Expo because it is such big event for the region and they wanted to take advantage of opening day specials.
Organisers are bracing for the biggest event ever with fine sunny days predicted for the next three days. Motels and hotels are heavily booked with visitors and exhibitors travelling from all over Queensland to be a part of the event. Some of Australia’s finest caravan, camper trailer and 4×4 accessory companies will be on site.
“The weather is absolutely perfect once again for what will be a massive event at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. Close to 200 companies are set up on site and excited and ready for big crowds. We encourage people to allow plenty of time to get around and see everything. This is an exciting event and you need to take your time and enjoy it.”
The expo will see television personality Scott Hillier at the Shimano Fishing Show showing how to prepare and cook your catch plus interesting talks on his travels with Creek To Coast. Inside the main pavilion Australiana Celebrity Chef, Peter Wolfe will be delighting the taste buds with a daily cooking showcase.
Another first for this event will see DIY celebrities Luke and Cody Cook demonstrating a range of DIY techniques and tips and tricks that you can use in your very own home and there are free jumping castles for the kids.
