Queensland company Australian Events today launched its 2015 Mackay Home Show and Caravan, Camping Expo.
The big event will be held at the Mackay Showgrounds from 22-24 May and will be home to over 150 exhibitors from the Mackay region, throughout the state, interstate and New Zealand.
The equivalent event this year resulted in a magnificent attendance of over 13,000. Organisers are expecting that number to increase to at least 15,000 in 2015.
Australian Events’ Director Corporate Development Greg Johnson said, “There was a buzz around the Mackay Showgrounds this year; you could sense there was renewed optimism in the air.
“Indeed we received similar outcomes right across Queensland with most of our events this year. Hopefully this augurs well for sound economic conditions in 2015.”
Exhibition products and services on display in 2015 will include holidays and travel, pools, boating, camping and fishing, motor vehicles and accessories, a range of business services including banking, finance and insurance, and health and wellbeing in addition to the huge display of caravans, camper trailers and accessories.
Mr Johnson said that the company, “was delighted with the strong presence by Mackay retailers at this year’s event.
“Obviously Mackay business leaders relish the opportunity to be seen by thousands of shoppers over an extended three-day period. It was a great chance for them to catch up with existing customers and to, hopefully, convert new customers to the convenience of shopping locally.”
As well as the large exhibition area the event will offer free entertainment throughout, major competitions and prizes, free rides for children and, for the first time, a series of on-stage practical demonstrations by select exhibitors.
Mr Johnson urged more local retailers to consider signing up as exhibitors at affordable rates.
