Potential buyers have flown in from Belgium and around the world to see the radical new Bruder EXP-6 off-road trailer, but the first public unveiling will be at the Gold Coast Midyear Caravan and Camping Expo plus Home and Outdoor Living Ideas at the Gold Coast Turf Club from July 29-31.

Two Queensland brothers Toby and Dan Bosschieter are challenging buyers to unleash their sense of adventure…and embrace the latest technology.

And they are confident the EXP-6’s unique four corner independent air suspension system can adjust to handling the roughest of Australian terrain, all wirelessly – without stopping – via your Smartphone.

At Bruder, which means Brother, the aim was “to design and build without limitation.

“Proudly Australian made the EXP-6 is built without shortcuts or compromise and is completely unique,” Dan Bosschieter said.

“No other trailer on the market is blessed with our suspension, chassis, materials or passion.”

Would-be shoppers seem undaunted by the $100,000-plus price tag.

Also one of Australia’s largest and most expensive tear drop campers, the Riptide Breeze Tourer is expected to attract loads of attention.

Riptide Camper boss David Ede said the new all-Australian camper sits between the smallest caravan and the tiny teardrop camper.

Measuring 3.0m x 1.5m wide, the Breeze Tourer is 500mm longer than the smallest caravan the Little Guy and offers 300mm more headroom than the tiniest teardrop, the slide-out Gidget Camper.

Another Queensland company Clear Sky Boats will release a new go anywhere lightweight and most importantly unsinkable Car-Go-Boat that travels on your car roof.

Clear Sky Boats is based in the Scenic Rim, and operated by its owners the Verralls who have more than 60 years of experience in the design and production of boats, dinghys, caravans, building, leisure, sporting and industrial products.

For something out of the ordinary, Accesscomm has a captioned phone for people who are hearing impaired – and there maybe government funding available?

Also new is the Barramundi BBQ, the grilling chef’s choice of grill from the Yagoona family of wood fire barbecues.

This grill add-on is compatible to virtually any existing firepit more than 65cm in diameter. The firepit requires no special mounting devices or holes to be compatible with the Barramundi BBQ.

Such is the popularity of the event, we’ve created more room for enthusiastic exhibitors offering the latest auto and 4X4s, caravans, boating and fishing accessories, 5th Wheelers, camper trailers, camping equipment and accessories, air conditioners, annexes, adventure and sporting equipment, electronic and communications, garages, patios and sheds, builders and contractors, gardening and landscaping ….lots of experts on hand to turn visitors’ wishes into reality.

The Gold Coast Midyear Caravan and Camping Expo plus Home and Outdoor Living Ideas will be held at the Gold Coast Turf Club, Bundall, from July 29-31. For full details visit the website www.goldcoastexpo.com.au
