Roads leading to the Sunshine Coast and in particular to the Nambour Showgrounds were busy on Friday morning with thousands of people attending the first day of the 2016 South Queensland Caravan, Camping, Boating & Fishing Expo.
Event organisers are anticipating record crowds to this years event, with fine sunny days predicted. According to Australian Events Director Bob Carroll, “The weather is absolutely perfect! Over 150 exhibitors are set up on site and have come from as far afield as Victoria and Western Australia to be at this event. We encourage all visitors to allow plenty of time to get around, allow at least four hours or more to see everything. If you are coming from out of town, plan to stay overnight, this is a rare event, you will need to allow plenty of time to see and enjoy it all”.
Some of Australia’s finest caravan, camper trailer, motorhome and 4×4 retailers are on site with millions of dollars’ worth of stock on show and for sale. Plus accommodation and touring information, adventure gear, fishing gear, auto and 4×4 accessories, kayaks and boats, camping accessories and more.
There will be kids rides along with Australiana cooking demonstrations, an amazing reptile show and the popular Shimano Fishing Show is back with special guest presenter and television personality Scott Hillier from Creek to Coast. Over seventeen thousand dollars in prizes are also up for grabs with details in the Official Event Guide available at the event entry.
