The Redcliffe Showgrounds has again been selected to host the first major event for the caravan and lifestyle industry in Queensland in 2017. In three weeks’ time from Friday 17th February to Sunday 19th February over 180 exhibitors will be at the Redcliffe Showgrounds to present the very latest in camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes, four wheel drives and in fact everything you could possibly need for your next adventure holiday.
The showgrounds will be jam packed with over 40 different brands of caravans, 30 brands of camper trailers, new release four wheel drives, boats, tinnies, camping gear and accessories. The Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism Group (MBRIT) will have a major presence at the event in the Webb Pavilion to expose all there is to see and do across the Moreton Bay Region which is one of the largest regional Council areas in Australia. The Moreton Bay Region is absolutely ideal for caravanners, four wheel drivers, boaties and keen anglers. MBRIT will be joined by other tourism destinations and holiday advisory specialists from all over including groups like the Winton Visitor Information Centre.
There is over $25,000-00 in prizes to be won including a brand new boat from Cunninghams Marine worth $ 11,800-00, a $ 7,500-00 4×4 Tagalong Tour to Cape York, all sorts of fishing gear and a ‘Nifty’ fold up boat and motor.
A variety of entertainment will provide an enjoyable break for visitors including cooking tips and tricks for when you next go camping and caravanning presented by popular celebrity duo, ‘Two Old Ducks’, free rides for kids including an ‘event train’ to make it easy to get about the massive site, a 4×4 skills track and the fishing show on the giant Shimano fishing tank.
The new railway station will get a work out over the three days too with free shuttle buses to connect with trains coming in to the Kippa-Ring Railway Station. Translink and Hornibrook Bus Lines have combined with the event organisers to provide this innovative service which will be a test run for other major events like the local Redcliffe Show.
The Moreton Bay Caravan Camping, Boating and 4×4 Expo opens at the Redcliffe Showgrounds from 9am to 5pm on Friday 17th February, 9am to 5pm on Saturday 9am to 4pm on Sunday 19th February.
