A large crowd was waiting to enter this morning as local Councillor Gary Baildon was welcomed by Australian Events Director, Bob Carroll, before cutting the ribbon to officially open the 2017 Gold Coast Midyear Caravan Camping Expo and Home and Outdoor Living Ideas at the Gold Coast Turf Club Grounds in Bundall.
Councillor Baildon was in awe of the size of the event as he congratulated the hundreds of companies involved in presenting what has grown to become one of the most popular Leisure Events in Queensland.
“I welcome patrons to this magnificent event today and congratulate the innovation and new product that is on show here and can’t wait to have a look at the world first release here of the all new inflatable camper trailer. Who would have thought that was even possible but you can see it here this weekend. I also like the look of the wide variety of entertainment and interactive displays that are always popular here. These events inject millions of dollars into our local economy and so I encourage locals to get behind it and come and enjoy it over the next three days”.
