A question that is always asked whenever a holiday is about to start … what do we pack ?

Your mind might be wandering to the wardrobe but if you are about to embark on a weekend away or a longer holiday towing your camper trailer, or caravan or maybe you are one of the lucky ones with a motorhome, then this question is often asked in regards to food and what should be in the pantry on your mobile escape machine.

At the Sunshine Coast Home Show and Caravan Camping and Boating Expo this weekend at Kawana there will be two chefs who will be presenting interesting and practical ideas on things to take and things to cook that are easy, wholesome and a bit of fun.

Food junkies, Jennifer Hill and Annette Long just love cooking and as they travel a lot themselves are keen to showcase easy recipes that require little effort and don’t need you to transport the whole pantry from home. Cooking and presentation times will be at 10am, 12noon and 2pm daily on centre stage in the food area at the event.

The Sunshine Coast Home Show and Caravan Camping and Boating Expo opens this Friday at the Sunshine Coast Stadium Grounds at Kawana. The event has grown enormously this year with parking access off Nicklin Way and also off Sportsman’s Parade. There is an onsite parking fee of $5-00 per car if you enter off Nicklin Way but there is on street parking available. There is another small car park that is free at the northern end of Lake Kawana with an entry off Sportsman’s Parade plus on street parking.
