What a weekend! If you got the chance to visit the Redcliffe Showgrounds from the 14th – 16th of February, you would have seen an amazing outdoor adventure expo in action.

The Moreton Bay Expo was held from Friday 14th February through to Sunday 16th February, and it saw the Redcliffe Showgrounds packed with a massive array of everything outdoors – caravans, camper trailers, boats, vehicles and 4×4 accessories, ute trays and canopies, adventure gear, kayaks, sheds, holidays – you name it, it was there! Over 180 exhibitors attended, and over 18,000 visitors over three massive, action-packed days.

Although the week prior was wet and miserable, the sun came out on Friday and stuck around for the whole weekend. Everyone got to see amazing 4×4 demonstrations with Dingo Dave from Channel Ten’s Offroad Adventure Show,

There were daily displays for adults and children alike, from camp oven cooking shows with Ron “Kingbrown” Wilson from Kingbrown Camp Oven Kitchen and Ecopot demonstrations with The Duck from the Camping and Off Road Radio Show. Dave “Mossy” Moss was on site to showcase all the best catch and release techniques and gear at the Shimano Fishing Show, and Luke from Reptile Kingdom captivated showgoers with his breathtaking snake and reptile show.

There were over $28,000 worth of prizes on offer, including a Tagalong Tour worth over $11,000, and thanks to No Limits 4×4 Hire, M Peacock will now be enjoying a great outdoor adventure of his own. Thanks to Southern Fish Marine, S McBain has a brand new $10,000 boating package to play with. K Masters is the proud winner of a 3-night cabin stay in the South Burnett Region, thanks to Discover South Burnett and T Axtell walked away on Sunday with a 5-night holiday in Noosa, thanks to the Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp. T Mullins will also have her own adventure, as the lucky winner of the 3-night Longreach Tourist Park Experience, thanks to Outback Pioneers. D Gibson was the winner of 7 nights away in a 5 Star Van, the New Age Road Owl, valued up to $1,000, all thanks to Camplify.

Smaller prize winners include P Brennan, C Crepin and N Ohl, who were selected as the winners of the So Simple Solutions competition, and, of course, everyone who came away with prizes from Mossy’s Shimano Fishing Show: M Ohl, R Lalor, R Ross, P Glanfield, N Skinner, L Fitz-Alan, M Dancer, J Bowman, D Wain and C Harrison.
