Extreme Outback Campers have announced the launch of their brand new self-sufficient off-road caravan, the Curlew. The extreme caravan will be shown for the very first time at the 2017 South Queensland Caravan, Camping, Boating and Fishing Expo, Nambour Showgrounds, from the 21st to the 23rd April 2017.

Designed for its extreme off-road capabilities, this Caravan has been specially built to be taken on the toughest of terrain. Protecting the vans are all-round rock sliders and larger departure and approach angles to ensure even the most experienced four wheel driver doesn’t bottom out the vehicle.

The caravans chassis has been designed out of 150 x 50 x 3mm galvanised steel, welded, zinc primed and powder-coated for extra rust protection.

With the advantage of full airbag suspension, owners of this van will benefit from adjustable levelling control, reduced spring sag, safer load carrying, better braking, improved steering and handling and stabilised body roll. When you have finished levelling the van, a simple flick of a switch activates the rams designed to lift the roof, with no hard work required.

The roof of the van has also been designed with innovation in mind, with the ability to carry a tinnie up to 4m long, complete with a fully mechanical winch to lower the boat down from the roof.

The caravan also boasts a full internal kitchen with generous fridge and ample storage, air-conditioning and heating, TV, DVD and CD player, internal shower and toilet plus an external shower, 17inch allow wheels, solar panels and twin 125-litre water tanks, just to name a few of the features.

The Curlew Extreme Off-Road Caravan offers a high level of comfort and allows you to enjoy an extended stay in your camping area, no matter how remote it may be while being complete self-sufficiency.
