A new event for Toowoomba was launched this morning at the offices of Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) in the company of Mayor Paul Antonio (not pictured), Director of Australian Events, Bob Carroll , the head of TSBE, Ali Davenport, and Australian Events Group General Manager, Paul Niehus.

The South Queensland Energy and Resources Expo is set to take place at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on the 16th and 17th October and will showcase dozens of companies with new innovation and products that are suitable for all areas of mining, energy, renewables and infrastructure building across South Queensland and into the Surat Basin.

TSBE are a key driver behind the event and will be presenting an Enterprise Evening as the main business and industry networking opportunity for the Expo on the 16th October. World class speakers will bring industry leaders up to date with industry trends and underline the unfolding developments across the South West and outline where opportunities lie for local industry and business.

Bob Carroll said that his company was pleased to bring this initiative to life and said that the bonus for the local industry was that it will be a free event to attend. “This event is a celebration of how far we have come in recent years. The Mayor and his Council have worked hard to present incentives for companies to grow and prosper. TSBE have worked hand in hand with Council and have been an amazing connector for Government to industry at all levels and now we are seeing the abundance as a result of this good work. The interest in this event is very strong and we expect it to be a leading event for industry in Queensland”
