Located 25 minutes north of Noosa, Habitat Noosa everglades eco-camp is being transformed into Queensland’s latest and most exciting eco-tourism product. Currently operating as a much-loved camping ground on 65 acres of natural bushland (previously known as Elanda Point Education Centre & Adventure Park), Noosa Habitat are undergoing an extensive revitalisation to provide on-site cabin, camping, motorhome and glamping accommodation, along with renovated amenities!
The team at Habitat Noosa recognise what a privilege it is to live and work in such a unique and pristine environment. Their revamp plans include significant environmental rehabilitation alongside much-needed renovations to existing site facilities. In the coming months, they’ll be working on:
- regenerating native vegetation, swales for water drainage and removing fences that endanger native wildlife
- improving amenities – including new toilets and showers, renovated camp-kitchen facilities and onsite services
- group and education centre upgrades
- café, bar, and bistro
- glamping tents
These works will be staged to minimize disruption and they will be consulting with their camping community along the way. Habitat Noosa is looking forward to welcoming new and old friends into their new eco-tourism spot. Be sure to stop by site P383 during the 2018 Gold Coast Expo to meet the team and find out more about Habitat Noosa.
