The inaugural Care Expo was an amazing success with 132 exhibitors from all sectors of the Health and Care industries taking part. Everything from support associations, to new products and technology for people in care, people who are delivering care to others, people with restricted mobility, people in need of mental wellbeing, aged care, in home care options and a whole lot more.
The grand opening was performed by and celebrated in the company of Councillor Peter Matic, Chairman for Lifestyle and Community Services in Brisbane City Council, Michelle Hendy, Assistant Director-General Disability Services NDIA, our 2018 Event Ambassador Glenn Todhunter and Australian Events Director, Bob Carroll.
The event welcomed thousands of enthusiastic people from all walks of life and people in all stages of health who were amazed at the variety of products and services. Visitors had the opportunity to participate in demonstrations, workshops and listen to 31 brilliant speakers to be inspired, informed and educated on a wide variety of topics within the Care Industry.
In conjunction with the Care Expo, NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) ran workshops and presentations where visitors could learn more about the new disability scheme and how to access funding for their particular needs and support. All workshops and speaker sessions were well attended.
The inaugural Care Expo has been very well received with mountains of positive feedback coming in from exhibitors and patrons alike.
For those who were unable to attend they could still access the Event Guide which was delivered as an insert in the Courier Mail, Toowoomba Chronicle, Sunshine Coast Daily and the Gold Coast Bulletin in the run up to the event. In addition an ebook was created as part of the web site and was readily available before and during the event along with regular news updates.
Planning is already in place for 2019 and expressions of interest are being received now for site space and workshop bookings from all sorts of associations and businesses across the Health and Care sectors.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2019 Care Expo !
