There is a housing and development boom on the Sunshine Coast with new land releases barely keeping up with buyer demand. House prices are climbing and auction clearing rates are one of the best in the country. With this wave of excitement sweeping through the housing and renovation industries the annual Kawana Home Show is preparing to be swamped with people looking for ideas to start building their dream home or renovating their existing home to cash in on the demand for existing homes.

With some of the best local builders on show as well as a myriad of companies involved in all sorts of products for new homes and for the renovators plus fine weather predicted the organisers are looking forward to 9am on Friday when the doors swing open for three days of trading.

It is two shows for the price of one with a major leisure expo complimenting the Home Show. One of the biggest displays ever seen of camper trailers, caravans, motor homes, boats and off road motoring will soak up hectares of playing fields at the Kawana Sports Precinct.

Organisers have lined up a host of entertainment including the Shimano Fishing Show with Dave Moss and Creek to Coast star, Scott Hillier along with free rides for kids and cooking demonstrations. Over twenty thousand dollars in prizes are also up for grabs including an Ezytrail Camper Trailer, four Viking Kayaks, a Nifty Boat and heaps of Shimano fishing gear and a barbeque from Barbeques Galore

The Sunshine Coast Home Show and Caravan Camping and Boating Expo opens this Friday and all weekend at the Kawana Sports Precinct, Kawana, Sunshine Coast. The event has grown enormously this year with parking access off Nicklin Way and also off Sportsman’s Parade. There is an onsite parking fee of $5-00 per car if you enter off Nicklin Way but there is on street parking available. There is another small car park that is free at the northern end of Lake Kawana with an entry off Sportsman’s Parade plus on street parking.
