Rich prizes will be up for grabs for the prized led beasts at the inaugural Queensland Beef Expo at the Toowoomba Showgrounds from August 31-September 3.
The Queensland Beef Expo is an all-new field day event primarily focusing on the production and supply of beef from this region.
RASQ secretary Damon Phillips has announced there will be $5000 in prizes for the led steer and heifer competition.
The classes are for Super Lightweight from 201-350kg, Lightweight from 351 – 400kg, Middleweight 401-500kg and Heavyweight of 501kg and over.
Entry fees are $35 per steer. Entries close on August 16.
Competitors must be on the grounds from 5pm on August 31, with weighing at noon on September 1 and judging at noon on September 2.
