Warm spring weather, fabulous entertainment and a fantastic family day out was the agenda for the 2018 Townsville Expo, which took place over the weekend from the 31st August to the 2nd September. We had 105 exhibitors attend the Expo with everything on show from caravans and camper trailers to all things 4×4 and boating. 12, 392 patrons attended the event across the three days with Friday boasting the largest numbers we’ve seen in years.
One lucky patron was extremely happy when leaving the event on Sunday thanks to Roofguard. The fantastic team at Roofguard gave visitors the opportunity to win a $5,000 roof restoration. Darryl from Idalia was the lucky winner. The entertainment on show this year was a huge hit with the visitors. Mossy wowed visitors with his knowledge of fishing and Luke let us in on his firsthand knowledge and experience about vital snake awareness and got some fabulous photos with visitors. Ron Wilson, aka Kingbrown, visited Townsville for the first time over the weekend and drew in the crowds with his unique brand of camp oven cooking ! Feedback from the expo suggests that it was one of the best events of its kind Townsville has seen.
