Toowoomba based special event management company, Australian Events, has been acknowledged as one of the best in Australia at the Exhibition and Events Association of Australia annual conference. As a finalist at the prestigious annual awards night they were praised for their innovative approach and slick management and marketing of their selected event, The Moreton Bay Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4X4 Expo.
The two day conference and the gala Awards Night were the first events to be held at the upgraded Sydney International Convention Centre last week. The director of Australian Events, Bob Carroll, said that despite them not winning on the night, the recognition of being a finalist at the 2016 Exhibition and Events Association of Australasia Awards for Excellence has shone the light on Australian Events and Toowoomba. Other finalists included the Royal Melbourne Show, Oz-Comic-Con and Pax Australia with the National 4×4 Exhibition taking home the honours. All judges commented that the finalists were a credit to the Australian Events Industry with only a few points separating the top contenders.

Mr Carroll went on to say that their acquisition of well-known event, Farm Fantastic in 2016 has attracted media attention in the international publication of The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. He said that there is active international interest in their events and that 2017 is looking very exciting indeed.
