Despite a marked downturn in the national economy, major Queensland consumer events are growing from strength to strength, and the trend isn’t showing any signs of slowing.

With seven highly successful events completed since COVID struck, Australian Events Marketing are now the country’s most successful event management company in 2020. They have shown incredible tenacity and grit to forge on while other event companies have fallen by the wayside.

The latest two major expos held in September have shown an extremely positive outlook for the industry, with patron numbers finally returning to normal, and in fact, now outstripping previous years.

The 2020 Cleveland Caravan, Camping, Boating & 4×4 Expo attracted over 13,600 patrons, just 5% down on the previous year, while the 2020 South Queensland Caravan, Camping, Fishing & 4×4 Expo saw an increase in patron numbers, a record 13,200 people in attendance over the three days.

Exhibitors were thrilled with the attendance numbers, and have reported that sales were up and customers were attending with a genuine interest. Several exhibiting companies had reported clearing the majority of their stock at the events!

Thousands of feedback forms have now been completed online by patrons, showing that consumers are chasing more cash and carry items this year. Vehicle and 4×4 accessories, solar and 12volt gear, fishing equipment and camping equipment are all sought after items. Patrons are also looking to invest in Caravans, Camper Trailers, Hybrids and Boats, with local holiday options being at the forefront of their minds.

Queensland Health continues to support Australian Events in their endeavours, applauding their dedication to the safety of patrons and exhibitors with the implementation of approved COVID Safe Plans.

Australian Events Marketing have three more approved events scheduled before the end of October this year.

2021 events are planned to be launched within the coming weeks, with an anticipated avalanche of companies expected to apply for exhibition space.
