Bobby the Bushfire Barra is a rare black coloured barramundi that has been hand raised by 12 year old fishing fanatic and fishing book author Hailey Paxevanos.

Hailey decided to raffle her beloved pet to help raise money for the bushfire appeals earlier this year, the $500 winning bidder turned out to be Dave Moss who runs the super tank.

So now everyone can come and see Bobby the Bush Fire Barra along with all his new friends in the tank at this weekends show!  There will be lots of family fishing fun, talks and loads of giveaways AND the chance to spot Bobby in the tank.

“I loved feeding Bobby and growing him up, we will miss him, but he loves being in this cool tank with his new mates and has some huge adventures ahead when he gets released back into the wild after the show somewhere here on the sunshine coast” says Hailey Paxevanos

Haileys Dad and Fishing Australia TV host Rob Paxevanos says “It really gave me goosebumps that Hailey would give up her rare pet all for a great cause, and how cool that families can now come and try and spot Bobby in the super tank and join in the amazing fun at this week ends show at Kawana.  This really is the first major show of this kind here on the coast since Covid restrictions have eased and just walking around you can already start to see the amazing variety of new camping, four wheel drive and fishing attractions being set up.”

Hailey is giving away a free copy of her book to the FIRST 100 kids that spot Bobby at the 2020 South Queensland Caravan Camping Fishing and 4×4 Expo!

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 25-27 September, Sunshine Coast Stadium.
