Australian Events is proud to announce the donation of over 450 lineal metres of temporary fencing to the Lions Club of Toowoomba West, continuing a long-standing commitment to practical community support. The donated fencing will be used for Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland, the annual charity Christmas lights display held in the Queens Park Botanic Gardens and proudly hosted by the Lions Club of Toowoomba West, along with other Lions projects across the region that support local charities and community activities.

Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland is a much-loved family event held each December, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors to enjoy festive light displays, local performers and community entertainment. Entry is by gold coin donation, with funds raised supporting local organisations including the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, Toowoomba Hospice and Lifeline Darling Downs and Southwest Queensland. The event has become a local tradition and a major fundraiser for community services, brought to life each year by volunteers from the Lions Club of Toowoomba West.

"We have been part of Toowoomba for almost forty years and giving back to the community is very important to us. Seeing this fencing reused for events like Christmas Wonderland and other Lions projects in Toowoomba is something we are truly proud of”.
Aly Ryan,
General Manager, Australian Events

Australian Events is proudly embedded in the Toowoomba community, organising expos and shows that bring people together. Donating the temporary fencing allows valuable materials to continue serving a practical purpose within the community rather than being scrapped, while also helping to ensure local events remain safe, accessible and sustainable. The fencing will stay in active use across multiple Lions Club projects, extending its lifespan and delivering ongoing benefits throughout the region.

This donation reflects Australian Events belief that strong communities are built through long term relationships, responsible choices and hands on support. By partnering with organisations like the Lions Club of Toowoomba West, Australian Events is proud to contribute to initiatives that create meaningful and lasting benefits for Toowoomba.
