16 – 17 October 2019

Toowoomba Showgrounds, Toowoomba, QLD, 4350

The South Queensland Energy & Resources Expo is a key event for businesses and industry as we move into the next exciting phase of development for mining and resources across South Queensland.

South Queensland and the South West region is undergoing a major infrastructure build, recognised as the largest injection of capital and technology delivered into any regional centre in Australia’s history. From record investment into wind and solar energy, commercial developments, infrastructure and mining, through to major gas projects and pipeline constructions, the region continues to boom.

South Queensland Energy & Resources Expo will benefit those who have a desire to be more competitive, operate more efficiently, have access to world best work and operational procedures and for those who hold a desire to network and learn from other like-minded businesses.

SOUTH QUEENSLAND ENERGY & RESOURCES WEBSITE

Welcome to the 2019 South Queensland Energy & Resources Expo

Toowoomba and the Surat Basin region has come out of the mining boom into one of the most significant infrastructure building programs in Australian history.

That infrastructure boom started with the development of new roads and utilities to service the Surat Basin boom period and phased into innovative private and public sector developments like the building of the Wellcamp International Airport and the government funded Second Range Crossing.

Then came a string of other innovative developments like the Witmack Industrial Park, the world class Pulse Data Centre, Interlink SQ as well as significant investment into facility provisions for the rapidly growing population.

The growth and development of the University of Southern Queensland and other key private and public schools along with the $500M redevelopment of the Grand Central Shopping Complex in the heart of the city has brought significant investment into the city and surrounding townships. Not to forget the $40M North Point Shopping Centre Development, the $16M Quest Hotel development and the $10M redevelopment of the Burke and Wills Hotel and a number of other new accommodation properties and a broad range of new eateries.

These are exciting times and we invite you to be a part of this innovativeevent  as we work hand in hand with the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) to present the 2019 South Queensland Energy and Resources Expo.

This event is very relevant to those involved in the Mining and Energy sectors, engineering and construction, transport and warehousing as well as service and maintenance for all areas of business and industry.

It is enormously beneficial to all those who have a desire to be more competitive, operate more efficiently, have access to world best work and operational procedures and for those who hold a desire to network and learn from other like minded businesses.

My advice is to book your exhibitor space early, book accommodation for your inbound support team and start planning now.

Paul Antonio, Toowoomba Mayor

As Mayor of Toowoomba Region, I welcome you to one of the economic powerhouses of Australia.

Our region’s strength is in our people, our natural assets and our natural advantages.

We have been fortunate to secure unprecedented investment into the region that is delivering tangible lifestyle and employment benefits to the community. Our diverse economy, low unemployment rate, continued economic growth and business confidence are the envy of other regional economies across Australia.

Last year the Gross Regional Product for Toowoomba Region increased to $10.81 billion having grown by 4.5% in the last 12 months. This success has not come by accident , and neither is its continuation assured. Success will require the coordinated effort of many regional economic development stakeholders. The delegates to the 2019 South Queensland Energy and Resources Expo will undoubtedly play an important role in our future prosperity.
