Australian Events’ Managing Director Bob Carroll and Director Corporate Development Greg Johnson will visit Townsville on Thursday and Friday, 5 and 6 February to talk to local business owners about involvement in a major new industry expo.
The Queensland-based company organises fifteen industry and consumer expos across the state each year in all major centres.
The new event, North Queensland Transport, Trades and Mining Expo, will be held at Townsville’s Reid Park, home of the V8 Supercars, on 29 and 30 April 2015.
Mr Carroll said, “Our company is very aware of the enormous potential for Townsville and North Queensland resulting from an ever-expanding list of industries, infrastructure and resource developments, state and federal government investment, agriculture and tourism.
“Our industry flagship is the Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo which is held annually in Toowoomba. It has evolved into one of the nation’s largest expos of its kind. It is our view that the North Queensland Expo has the same, if not more, potential given recent exciting developments and the very likely prospect of significant state infrastructure investment following this Saturday’s election.”
The expo will showcase an increasing range of exhibitors from across Queensland and Australia focusing on resources, mining, transport, infrastructure and the many trades that service those industries.
As well as talking to local business owners both gentlemen will meet with council, government and industry leaders and media agencies. They will host site inspections at Reid Park from 3.00pm on Thursday, 5 February and from 5.30pm there will be a brief presentation followed by a complimentary social function.
