Amphibious Caravan at Expo |
|
A totally new concept in caravanning will be on display at the 2008 Queensland Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo. The eco-friendly trailerable houseboat is a way to see wild Australia free of caravan park tariffs, while gently bobbing around Australia’s waterways.
Andrew Downes, of Ballina, owner, designer and builder, says “We have fantastic waterways full of unspoiled nature. I’d like to see people enjoying them more". He believes retirees, bitten by rising fuel costs will take shorter trips as they travel Australia, and there are 146 rent-free waterways available to enjoy, just for the effort of launching. With luxury for two, all the comforts of your caravan, lightweight marine construction, easy access as a caravan, and totally self-contained means you can contemplate staying at approved roadsides, caravan parks, National Park or disappearing for free on the next waterway for weeks at a time. Don't miss seeing the sleek lines of this newest prototype of waterway travel at the 2008 event. Caravansafloat can be found at site number U83, located in the Burghofer Pavilion. |
