Australian Events is pleased to announce that the 2016 Surat Basin Expo has been officially launched. The 2016 event will run on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th June at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.
Coinciding with the official launch was the news from Cathay Pacific that they will be running direct freight flights from Toowoomba to Hong Kong.
Direct Boeing 747 freight flights start on the 23rd November 2015 from Australia’s newest International Airport located at Wellcamp West, 18 kms from the center of Toowoomba.
The inaugural Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong will be an historical flight for aviation and industry in this country and underlines the importance of this new airport and the access and opportunity that it will deliver for business and industry across this region.
The building and infrastructure boom continues unabated across South Queensland and in particular in Toowoomba and the South West and this ground breaking new international freight service heralds the beginning of an exciting new phase of development.
